Birthday Girl

As I rocked Lindsey to sleep the other night I thought about holding her for the first time in my arms. Her dark curly hair, her smooshy face, her baby smell, and the feeling of pure bliss. I remember all the moments of her birth, introducing her to Jacob, and bringing her home. What I feel like I can't remember is everything in between, I think it happened in the blink of an eye! She is more amazing and beautiful than I ever imagined a daughter could be. She fills me up with laughter and joy everyday of my life. I love you to pieces Linds---Happy 2nd Birthday! Rainy Days

What more can you do on a rainy Sunday than make pancakes and play with play-doh? We let the kids get right in on making the pancakes and then the two of them (plus Lee) played with play-doh for over an hour! It was rainy day bliss!

Coming Down

The end of an era...we finally (more like "I") parted with the highchair. We brought the little table and chairs in to the kitchen so the kids can sit there for breakfast, snacks, etc and Linds can sit in the booster seat at the dining room table. It is just one of those steps towards becoming a "big" girl I guess!

Not My Genes

It is no secret, I can't draw a straight line with a ruler! On the other hand, Jacob is a little artist. Everyday he comes home from school and he is drawing, building, creating, etc etc. This past week was no different. First a volcano and then he turned himself in to a robot!

We love you more than you will ever know and we hope you had a great birthday Mom aka Nana!

Family Ties

It isn't often that we can all be together, including some extended family like my in-laws, so we really enjoyed the time we got to spend with everyone! I was so glad to see my niece this weekend, it is amazing in just 6 months how fast kids grow!

One thing is for certain...no matter how crappy she feels she always has a smile on her face!
