Tick Tock Tick Tock

Recently it seems that so many of us are "waiting"---waiting for news, waiting for a reunion, waiting for the doctor, waiting for the alarm to go off, waiting for the school bus, waiting for a special event, etc etc.
Sometimes it is the hardest thing we have to do and sometimes it seems like the minutes drag on. It can be so stressful and cause terrible anxiety but hopefully once the waiting is over, all is well. I pray that when the wait is everyone will be happy, healthy, loved, relieved, and at peace.
We are waiting, patiently, for that plane to land. We can barely wait any longer, but as long as you are safe, we will wait. We are also waiting for friends, we are with you and we love you. No matter what happens we are there for you.

we wait................

Pretty Girl...my how you have grown!

I was looking at some pictures of Lindsey this weekend from October through this past summer. I can't believe how much she really has changed, not just grown in size, but even how much her face has changed. She is such a pretty girl!

More Weekend Pics

Weekend Fun

We got to PA on Friday and spent the day with Aunt Laurie and I think we wore her out. Saturday morning Nana made the kids pancakes, their favorite. They also got some new glow sticks, only one of about 6 we have now, but Jake loves them! Lindsey's party was at dinner time. So many of our family and friends were able to come and it was really fun! It was nice enough for the kids to run around outside, they even decided to eat out there! On Sunday morning, most of our family was able to come back to my Mom's for our famous egg and bacon sandwiches. Ummmm..makes me hungry just thinking about them! We had a great time! Thanks to everyone for coming to her party and for all her presents!

Happy 1st Birthday to my Lindsey Pooter

Happy Happy Happy 1st Birthday to my BIG GIRL!!! I still can't believe one year ago I was in labor and delivering my baby girl! What an amazing year we have had so far! She has really developed her own personality! She is super funny, smart, a bit bold at times, loves loves loves her big brother, has crazy but pretty long hair, eats anything (weighing in at almost 26lbs), loves to be outside, sucks her left thumb and loves her blanket, is crawling and cruising, saying Mom, Dad,& Jake, and is just full of life!!
This weekend was the first of her 3 celebrations! We traveled home to PA to celebrate with family and friends and it was super fun! She had a Minnie Mouse party and enjoyed every minute of it! She had no problem picking up her piece of cake and devouring it and ripping in to a couple presents.
Cheers to my Lindsey! I couldn't be more grateful to be your Mom. I don't know why I call her Lindsey Pooter, it just happened. Jacob is my Puddin, I still call him that, and she just ended up being my Pooter! They sort of just go together!
I love you to pieces Lindsey, forever and always!

18 months--time for a change

It was about 18 months ago that Lee took Company Command of Bravo! It has been a great ride for both of us and I couldn't be more proud of him! He changes command on Friday and will take a new position in the Batallion! Way to go on a job well done! Your soldiers love you and we love you! See you soon!

Jake..where does he come up with these things?

We are outside playing soccer today while Lindsey is napping. Jake trips and falls. As he is getting up he looks at me and says, "I think my head is on crooked today!" I cracked up laughing!!
Sometimes we all have bad days, he definitely has his share and so do I, but overall, he is a great kid and I love being with him!

Happy 5th Birthday AJ!

On Saturday we celebrated Annabelle Sweet's birthday. We have known the Sweets the entire time we have been at Drum, Lee and Zeke serve together. They are such a great family and we are lucky to have them as friends. Lisa went all out and threw a super fun 5th Birthday Bash with even horse drawn wagon rides! Lindsey loved loved loved the wagon ride, she and I rode up front and she was all smiles! It was every fall activity you could ask for! I didn't take that many pictures because I was busy keeping Lindsey busy but here are a few I took.

Hockey Video

In this video he is chasing a puck--of course, I should have kept taping because it got more exciting after I stopped taping.

In this one, check out a great spin move he does!

Back on the Ice!!

I can officially say "I LOVE BEING A HOCKEY MOM!" Last year I missed most of hockey with Lindsey being a newborn/infant. I was a little unsure about putting on all the equipment and figuring out how to keep Lindsey busy for an hour. Fortunately, I got an equipment lesson from John Budd and our wonderful friends the Charltons offered to watch Lindsey during the early practice on Saturday.
I was so excited to take him to practice and when he was on the ice, it took everything I had to keep from crying. I was soooo proud of him, he is skating like a champ! He was having some trouble with one of his skates. They may be a little big, but they are also new, and I think by the end of practice Sunday he was feeling skating in them.
So here are some pictures from this weekend's first practice and one of the videos I took.

Then and Now

I didn't want to write this to make Lee feel bad or guilty in anyway. That was not my intention. However, I have been thinking about the "shock" he may have when he sees Linds in person. Just for an example, look at these pictures. One is the morning he left and one is her recently. She has grown so much and is such a little person! I can't wait for the 2 of them to be together and get to know each other again. She is going to love him to pieces! I also included this funny video..just to give Lee a little taste of how rotten she could be (but funny too)! She dumped the dogs' water bowl and then played in it!

The Duck Song

Jake is having a great year at school so far. He is learning so much and one of my favorite things is when he learns a new song. Well, when he learns one and remembers it! Today I heard him singing this when we got home!

Playing in the leaves..

A few more cute pictures!

Time to Rake!

As most of you know, we have a gigantic beautiful tree in front of our house, not to mention the other 1,000 around our house. Well, the leaves have started to fall already and they probably will still be falling at Christmas. I try to get the kids outside for just a bit each day for some fresh air. Part of me wishes Lindsey was walking but then again, I don't know how much raking I would get done chasing her. She will go in her swing or sit in the wagon and play until she gets antsy. Jake was so excited to rake and jump in a pile of leaves! I remembered my camera and took some cute pics! You will notice in one of them Lindsey standing all by herself--we are getting closer to steps I think!

Chillin....

I caught Lindsey on Sunday watching TV in her new chair. She sat in it for about 10mins--I love it!

Fire Safety Day

We have been trying really hard to do the Home Depot project each month. Jake really enjoys it and this month was extra special with a fire truck and ambulance there as well! Although, I am running out of places to put all these projects!

Picture Pefect

I decided to take some pictures of the kids on Saturday, they were looking so cute together in their jeans!
