Weekend Fun

This past weekend we took advantage of Lee being home Friday night, warm weather on Saturday and Sunday, and a rainy Monday that Jake had off of school. Of Friday we spent the night bowling with Lee, yesterday I took the kids to Sackets for a picnic and playing at the park, and today the kids and I went to the Museum of Play in Rochester. The weekend was a blast and we have a busy week ahead. It seems sometimes that I can barely catch my breath, blog, or wash clothes ( haha) but spending time with my family and friends trumps all of that! Letting the little things go sometimes feels great! I need to do that more often and just enjoy!

She is a fish..or should I say mermaid!

Finally, we got Lindsey in to a swim lesson and she absolutely loves it. She wasn't afraid at all and started introducing herself right away to her teachers. She jumped in and swam like a fish! I am so proud of her!

Just the two of us...

Lately I feel like I spend so much time taking Jake to practice, music, etc etc so I want to be sure I am spending some one on one time with Lindsey too. We recently went to the zoo and took a long bike ride (she rode I walked) together. I love our special days together.

Sing a Song

A couple weeks ago, Jake got to perform with the Junior Stage Notes. He is still taking singing class on Wed nights but this was a little different. He practice for a few weeks and we listened to the music over and over, for the Kids on Broadway show! It was a wonderful performance and Jake sang and danced his heart out. I was beginning to wonder how much he still loved it but after doing this show, I had no doubt that he still does!

One Last Dip!

Before Spring break ended, the kids and I took a mini trip with some hockey moms and the Charltons to Lake George! The kids can't get enough of the indoor water parks. They all behaved so well and had a blast! It was a great way to end the week! Now, bring on Spring!

Let's Twist

What better to do on a rainy Sunday than play Twister! We all got in on the game but with some new rules, Aunt Laurie got her head stuck to the floor! I couldn't resist the photo! Love you Laurie!

Photo Op

Since everyone was dressed-up, I made sure to take the opportunity to snap some family picures. I had to get one of my sister looking pretty before I put the one up of her playing twister! (that's next)

Easter Morning

Baskets filled with goodies = smiling faces!!

Who is better than the Easter Bunny?

Why...The CANDY MAN is!!! On Saturday night, JB brought out all sorts of candy and created all sorts of sugary combinations for the kids and adults to try! Nothing like a good dose of sugar before bed! That is why we love him!!

Are we in Florida?

The weather was so warm, 60s is like summer for us, that the kids spent the entire day outside, long enough that they all got a little pink on the faces!

Finally...we empty the baskets and get silly on sugar!!

Then...we hunt (for plastic ones) :)

First... we color the eggs

Bring out the Bikes

Taking our bikes home to Nana's has become a staple. It is a great place for the kids to ride and the weather at Easter was warm enough for them to ride! It was also the first time Lindsey really got to ride her bike and test it out, she loved it and did great!
