O' Canada

I am starting to think they are going to know who we are at the border soon! This past weekend we decided to take a mini-vacation to the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagra Falls. Most of our friends have been there and had wonderful things to say about it. I can officially say that it lived up to all it's compliments and more! It was a fantastic family weekend. The resort is so family and kid friendly, we could have stayed 2 more nights! From the waterpark, bed time stories, mini golf, a cool "camp" suite, a coffee shop down the hall (big plus), the falls, the Rainforest Cafe, etc etc. We will definitely be going back!

Smore's and More!

Last Friday we kicked off what seems like the "summer season" with our first cookout with friends! The weather was warm enough for the water table and running through the hose. I forgot the kids swimsuits but had extra clothes. Please Lindsey, let this be your only wet t-shirt ever! We had great food, a camp fire and lots of laughs! I can't wait for more summer cook-outs!

Taking the Plunge

Last week when the weather took a turn upwards, the kids insisted we get another pool. After much, well maybe a little, thought, I decided on the old vinyl pool. I don't think it will last much longer. While it holds the water, every time Lindsey steps in and out the water goes right out! However, for it's simple purpose of getting cooled off, it is working. This particular night in the pictures it was only about 65 degrees and the pool had cold hose water in it, they didn't care at all!

Ode to Mom

This year I didn't plan a darn thing for Mother's Day and I must say, Lee and the kids did a great job! We had a great family day starting with breakfast in bed, some letterboxing, a bike ride, and a cook-out, plus a few presents! It was perfect!

Simple Easy Love

The love between siblings is truly incredible and to see it in our children's eyes is awesome.

The many faces of Lindsey!

Trying to get a picture of Lindsey is nearly impossible. I have learned that if I am going to take a picture to just keep snapping. I took some photos at breakfast, the place we went to was perfect and treated the kids like kings! They split their meal in two and it was pancakes with strawberries and whip cream and bacon and homefries. Plus this amazing cup of hot chocolate for Jacob that had whip cream and chocolate chips on it!

Just one Picture?!

We love to try and snap a self family photo wherever we go. We can't say we didn't try. On Sunday morning we took a nice walk for breakfast and on the way back attempted to snap a picture. After a few tries and many laughs, some really nice lady offered to take one. I guess hers looks a little better than ours, but I still love our funny ones! I think I left the one out that had Lindsey sticking her finger up her nose. She would do this every so often and say, "don't pick your nose Leah!" So she wasn't picking her nose, just mocking her best friend Leah whom she talks about non-stop!

Crossing the Border

This past weekend we decided to take afamily trip to the Tulip Festival in Ottawa. Jacob had hockey in the morning and then we left from Alex Bay, we only had a little over an hour drive from hockey. It was a trip well worth taking! We all had a great time sight seeing, eating some yummy food, swimming in the pool at the hotel, stopping at Ikea and of course, seeing the beautiful tulips! The weather and weekend couldn't have been better!

Dirty Girl

She may love her dolls, love her Princess dresses, her pink purses, etc..but she doesn't mind getting dirty with the boys either!
