The Bunny was Good!

He isn't Santa, but the Easter Bunny was pretty darn good! He brought the kids a couple pieces of candy and some toys for summer! There were no complaints from the kids, they were super happy and grateful!

Sunday Best

On Easter the kids were dressed in their Easter clothes and we attempted once again to snap some family photos. Oh Lindsey....what else can I say!

Cousins

It isn't that often that we can get all the little cousins together for a picture. Saturday night was Easter dinner at my aunt's house. We seized the opportunity to snap a few photos however in each one I think one kid has their eyes closed, isn't looking, etc. I don't know how professionals do it!

The HUNT

They taste better in pink and blue!

It isn't that often that I make and/or eat hard boiled eggs. However, like most families, Easter wouldn't be the same without dying at least a dozen. It seems that the colors and stickers almost make them more appetizing and fun to eat. This year the dozen was gone within a couple days but the best part, the kids had a blast!

A Zoo in New Jersey?

Who would have thought there would be penguins and leopards in New Jersey? On Monday we left it up to Jacob, NYC or the NJ Zoo. We were all leaning towards the zoo since we were a little unsure about taking Lindsey to the City. I think we will leave that till Christmas. We went to the Turtleback Zoo and it was super cute! The kids rode the carousel with me and Aunt Becky. That ended up being a good thing for Jake, it was the only horse he got to ride that day. Lindsey was super excited to go on a pony ride, last year Lee and I tried to put her on one at the apple orchard and she freaked out. This time, she was so excited and smiled ear to ear! They had a height requirement and Jake just made it, he was almost too tall. Well, I think the horse must have been watching him and knew he was a big kid. When Jacob sat on the horse and they tried to walk him, the horse went a bit crazy. Enough to make both Jacob and I a nervous wreck. He decided to stick to the porcelain horse! We ended the day at Aunt Becky's for dinner and it was a great Monday!

Sam's Choice

On Sunday, we decided we would leave the morning activity up to Sam since he was leaving that day. He picked Chuck e Cheese, so that is where we went! It wasn't too crazy inside and the kids had a blast!

Party Day!!

Saturday was the big show! When I told Lindsey we were going to see Laurie Berkener but knew she didn't quite grasp what that meant. The look on her face when Laurie came on stage was Priceless! Jake thought he was a bit too old for Laurie but when she came out, he and Sam sang and danced non-stop! It was a fantastic show!
That night we took the kids to a Japanese Hibachi restaurant near my sister's house. They both tried almost everything but Lindsey was a bit afraid of the fire so we told her to close her eyes (insert picture here). It was a super fun night!

New Jersey Bound

Almost 2 weeks ago (man, time flies) the kids and I headed on our Spring Break trip! Unfortunately, Lee couldn't join us until Easter weekend b/c of work. The kids and I headed to NJ to visit Aunt Laurie and Aunt Becky. We arrived Friday and the kids were super excited b/c Aunt Donna and Sam were there! This was Lindsey's first trip to her Auntie's house. The kids play really well together so we decided to let them all sleep in one room. The incentive was if they slept fine together in NJ they could do it again at the beach, as you might imagine, they slept great! They were so happy to be together!
