Sharing a Tradition
There is an amusement park in PA called Knobles. I am actually not quite sure how long it has been there but I know it was there when I was little. Needless to say, since Jake was born we have been going every summer. It is by far the cheapest but best park for little kids (or big ones including adult like kiddos) that we have ever been too! There is no parking fee, admission fee and the most expensive ride is the rollercoaster at a whopping $2.25. Most rides are .75 or $1.00--you can't beat it. The food is also a bit ethnic, lots of Polish food, and cheap! $2 for a hot dog..we payed $9 at Hershey! Or how about $2 for a piping hot waffle ice cream sandwich! This past Saturday we shared our beloved park with our dear friends the Charltons! We had a blast. Linds only enjoyed one ride.. the bounce house (maybe the firetrucks too) but fortunately I was able to keep her in the stroller most of the day. The other kiddos had a great time. We spent over 4 hours in the park...just until Miss Leah was about to crash! It was a great time!

Summer Concert
Ding Dong The Snake is Dead!
All summer we have had this visitor in our garden. It never seemed to come around when Lee was home though and I think he thought I was making it up! Until...last Saturday. It slithered in front of Lee as he was walking to the garage! My strong and brave hubby did the deed! Smoosh! Dead...Love you babe!

A Double Birthday Celebration
This past weekend we headed to PA for my Dad's 70th Birthday. We have been planning his surprise party for months and Saturday was the big day! My sister's birthday (also on Aug 5th) was celebrated on Friday night! I would love to share more pictures but my camera battery decided to die on Sat night after being full charged a few days before. hmmmm..do I hear a birthday present for me?

A Summer Tradition
For the 3rd year in a row Jen and I had a special day at the Waterpark with our boys! It was the perfect day, perfect weather, perfect kid behavior, lots of fun people watching (Lol), and a great day overall! The kids went on every water ride they could, they are both little fish! The bit shock of the day was that they were actually too big to go on some slides that they love! We couldn't believe it! After a full day of sun, water, rides and games we headed home! We can't wait till next year!

Jake and Linds
Just Can't Get Enough
I am definitely different..especially from my Nana and my sister. I love the sun, sand and surf! I say it all the time and I am completely serious..I could live at the beach and someday I hope we do. Or at least 3 months out of the year! This past Sunday we took the kids back to Sackets to see a re-enactment on the battlefield. The actors were fully dressed and had set-up camp just like they did back in 1812. We walked around the camp sites and watched the battle. Then we headed to the beach, aka the lake. The kids loved the water and having another picnic! I could definitely get used to picnics on the beach everyday! I guess I better start saving my pennies!
PS--while it looks like Linds is playing in deep water, she is actually sitting down, it was only up to her ankles.

A Sunset Ride
This past Saturday we were itching to get out and enjoy the weather. Late afternoon we packed up the kids, the bikes and some food and headed for Sackets. It really is so beautiful there in the summer. We took a long bike ride, had a picnic dinner, ran around the battle field and finished the night off with some ice cream! It was a perfect family night!
