How Do You Do It?
All too often I hear the question, "how do you do it?" when Lee is gone away or someone finds out he is in Army or has been deployed 4 times, etc etc. How do I do it....I have the greatest friends in Watertown a girl could ask for!
Open House #2
Last week we went to Jacob's open house. He feels so special being able to show us his classroom and all the rooms in his school; art, music, etc. Plus there was a book fair and we can't resist buying a few great books! We are super excited for this year of 1st grade!
Cider + Donuts = Delisishness!
We have gone to the Cider Mill numerous times since it opened but walking up there as a family when Lee was home was the best trip yet! The kids would walk there every sunny day if we could! It is the best little place this side of the Adirondacks!
Mini Vacation
Lee got to have a mini vacation from work in California last week! We enjoyed every minute of the 4 days he was home! We can't wait to have him home again!
NEMO!!!
I decided to brave a movie with the kiddos alone! This was Lindsey's first movie and we decided, Go Big or Go Home or just Go 3D!!! We saw Finding Nemo in 3D and they both loved and were so well behaved! I can't wait to take them to see the new Tinkerbell movie in October, I think we will wait for Lee this time!

The Many Dresses of Lindsey
It is no secret that Lindsey has amazing clothes thanks to her Aunties! She loves to wear dresses and has been wearing one to school each day so far. Thanks Aunties!
Pedal Away
The kids love going for bike rides and even more so riding their own bikes, especially since Lindsey got a new bike for her birthday (a little early) from Nana and Papa! They love to ride!
Ice Time
Jacob is back on the ice and this time better than ever! He is officially going to play on the Mites Team this year and he absolutely loves it! I was a bit nervous about the crazy schedule and practices but after seeing the first weekend of practice I am excited to be a "hockey mom"!!! Go Mites!
Here She Comes!
Last Thursday was Lindsey's first day of nursery school. She is attending the same program Jacob did, just a different teacher now *sniff sniff!!I had no doubt that she would be fine, as a matter of fact, she was so excited I could barely get a kiss good-bye! It seems like yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital and now she is off and running (literally) to school!

My Big Guy
I was super lucky and got out of work just in time to run over and surprise Jacob after school! He was so excited to see me and ran into my arms! I love that he isn't too grown up yet to give me hugs and kisses! I had to run back to the hospital after I picked him up so he got a special treat, a slushy in the cafe! Plus, he loves seeing where I work! Maybe medicine will be in his future! haha
1st Grade, 1st Day...Done!
He survived but not only did he survive, he had a great day! He loves his teacher, he has already made some new friends and he feels like the big kid now, (not those little Kindergartners)!! lol
I am so excited for him and this year ahead! I think it will be great! He looks so big in these pictures, only to keep on growing! We love you Jake and are so proud of you!
Twas the Night Before....1st Grade!
I feel like it was just yesterday I was bringing Jacob to nursery school! Last night he was very excited and we had the perfect book to get ready! (thanks Aunt Jen)
Get Ready....Get Set....
On Monday, Jacob gave Lindsey the backpack he "bought" her for her first day of school. She was super excited and he even got a lunch box (for snack time). She was so excited she decided to run to the fridge and pack her lunch box. Can you see what healthy and yummy things she packed in the picture? Creamer, half and half...that is probably what her teacher will need with a big cup of coffee! Look out, here she comes!

It's Picking Time
This year we had a decent amount of veggies from our little garden but I think the kids loved picking the hundreds of cherry tomatoes the most! This past weekend they picked away with Nana! Jacob asked to plant sunflowers but we never imagined how big and beautiful they would be, he loves them!
End of Summer Fun
With the end of the summer drawing to an end, the kids and I tried to soak it up with some fun activities. Jacob had his first sleep over at his best buddies (what a great night), trips to the park and zoo, one last trip to Knoebles with Alex, ice cream, Nursery school orientation for Lindsey and so much more! We tried to squeeze it all in!
