A Standing Ovation
It is no big secret that Lee is a humble person. He is grateful for everything in his life and doesn't ask for anything in return. When I saw the opportunity to nominate him for this distinction I didn't hesitate, I knew how much he deserved it. We arrived Friday night to a beautiful hotel right on the Bay. We had dinner and headed to the pool, kids had been talking about the pool all day. Saturday included breakfast with family, Lee's family arriving, a meet and greet at the girls basketball game, the boys' game where Lee was introduced along with the other inductees at halftime, a cocktail hour and a dinner. During the meet and greet, Lee met with the Col of the ROTC program at Gannon, his CPT and a senior cadet. He was asked to attend their ball in April and then speak at the Commissioning ceremony in May (all depending on his schedule of course). During his introduction at the game, the crowd gave him a standing ovation, even Jacob had tears in his eyes. Jacob was so excited to see the men's basketball game and he had my Dad sitting next to him giving him play by play action. I think he was overwhelmed to see his Dad out there and was so proud. Each inductee was honored during the dinner of about 200 guests and had a chance to speak. It was a night we will never forget. Lee had an awesome football career at GU and set so many records and still holds a few of them. He has accomplished so many of goals in his life and we are all very proud of him. (On a side note, Lindsey came for the cocktail hour and dinner, she was very well behaved, only a couple of funny outbursts but I think she helped lighten the mood) Thanks to my sister and mom for taking care of her!! Below are some of the pictures from the weekend!

I had tears in my eyes again just reading this. What an amazing honor for an amazing man! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it. I'll never forget Jacob saying at breakfast on Sunday how he had tears in his eyes at the dinner when Lee got the 2nd standing ovation! Love you guys!
