Going to the chapel.....
You know it is true love...the day Lee got home from being gone for a week, Lindsey quickly put on her "wedding" dress and asked Lee to marry her. She said Jake was the priest (hockey player priest as you can see he is holding a stick in his hand, which I think he would carry 24/7 if I let him)...anyway. It was really cute, they had a ceremony and a dance! Here are the pictures from the horrible photographer that showed up late! lol

Go Jags!!
Last weekend was Jake's final hockey tournament. We have so many amazing pictures it was hard to just choose a few. Hockey is definitely a long season but Jacob is completely dedicated and has improved so much in just one season. Everytime he steps on the ice I feel tears in my eyes, I am so proud of him. He did so well and skated his heart out at the tournament. He was so excited that his Nana and Papa got to see a few games too, it meant the world to him. He has made some great friends and the kids have learned to play as a team, work together, and stay focused. All their hard work payed off when they took home medals and the 2nd place trophy! Way to go Jags!
4:11am.....He is 7!!
Reading, Writing and Math....
It is amazing to me how much Jacob has grown and learned in the last 7 months. He is writing long stories, reading chapter books and still acing his math! He works really hard and it is paying off. I don't want to be the braggy Mom, but I couldn't resist just a little.

How Big Are You?
Remember when they are babies and we ask them "how big are you?"...Now I don't really want to think about that! I was in a store with Jacob tonight when someone said he was very polite and such a cute boy. I smiled, very proud, and he told her it was his birthday tomorrow. She asked him how old he would be and he said 7. I don't know what maybe stop and lose all my thoughts at that moment, but it hit me like a ton of bricks....7! He has grown in to such an amazing boy. He has his moments, so do I, but he is the most caring, sensitive, perfectionist, smart, physical, sweet, thoughtful and respectful boy and I am so blessed that I get to be his Mom. I love to hear him read and spell, watch him play hockey, hold hands with Lindsey, and smile at the world around him. I love you Jacob, more than you will ever know, no matter what. I hope you have a wonderful Birthday!!

Jake's Day of Fun
Last Sunday, while the Charltons watched Lindsey, we took Jacob, Seth and Cole to Syracuse for a day of fun to celebrate Jacob's 7th Birthday! First stop, Johnny Rockets for burgers and shakes, the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to him! Then we went to the Wonder Works inside the mall, where we played with over 100 hands-on exhibits. It was a blast, from a hurricane shack, a life size Connect 4 game, a virtual roller coaster, flying your own virtual plane, playing virtual sports, making giant bubbles, and so much more! After that we challenged ourselves on the ropes course, 70' high in the middle of the mall. It was a blast, we ended the day with blue slushies! Jacob had a great time and is so excited to be turning 7!
Girls Just Wanna...
Last Saturday the Charltons went skiing and we watched Leah...Lindsey was thrilled. I took the girls to a couple hockey games where they ate snacks and got their faces painted then we spent the day playing and napping, and then they helped me make dinner! It was a really fun day with just the girls!
A few more photos..
Crossing the Border
After Jake's tournament, we drove to Niagra Falls, ON, to meet up with the Charltons for a vacation at the Great Wolf Lodge. After spending two nights there last year, we knew this year we wanted to stay 3. It was totally worth it. You never really have to leave the resort if you don't want to but we did venture out to the main drive downtown, had dinner at the Hard Rock, and saw the Falls at night lit up. Between the water park, Magiquest, story time, the Cub Club, and so much more, we were keeping busy! Plus a little down time during the day, especially when the girls took a nap. It was an amazing vacation, and these are just some of the pictures. A few more to follow!
2024
If you ask my sister Becky, she would say Jake will be the #1 draft pick in 2024! We aren't sure what will happen that many years from now but we do know this, he loves hockey and he plays his heart out. He had a tournament over school break and not only did he play for his team, but was eager to sub for the other team when one of their players got sick. We were so proud of him. The team had 2 losses and 2 ties, but we are so proud of how well he played and how much effort he gave. It is so much fun to watch him play and we will always be there to support him, no matter what team in the NHL he plays for..lol!!
