Reading Comprehension
Jake is starting to learn his sight words and he definitely has the desire to read. However, he has really good reading comprehension. Lee called today and Jake had a chance to talk to him. He has been learning about the Presidents (Washington and Lincoln) in preschool. He told Lee who they were and Lee asked him to tell him one thing about each of them he learned. Jake said that Washington told a lie and that some mean man didn't like Abraham Lincoln and he shot him with a gun and killed him. Lovely.....He said he heard it in the book they read at school. I guess I am just proud that he is comprehending and listening at school! We love you Mrs Puccia!

Seth came home and told me all about the cherry tree that Washington cut down and that he got in trouble from his dad for it. I had to chuckle!
